The holidays will be an exciting countdown for 2020 leaver Sadie Soverall, as in early 2021, Netflix premiere their highly anticipated teen fantasy ‘The Winx Saga’ in which she plays the fairy Beatrix.

Netflix is expecting great things from the initial six episodes, which will also be dubbed into 21 languages around their various world regions. If you’re a parent, there is a very good chance you have come across the original ‘Winx Club’  in the past, as it started life as a cartoon on the Nickelodeon Cartoon Network and spawned many books, dolls and other merchandise. This rebrand is targeting a slightly older teen audience and was filmed whilst Sadie was in Upper Sixth – not long before Covid-19 ground TV and film-making to a standstill.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Sadie and we are certain she will be outstanding as ‘Beatrix the Fairy’. She has certainly come a long way from playing ‘The Fox’ in our Junior play version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe back in 2015. During her time at Emanuel, Sadie also appeared in many other productions, including Annie, The Producers, Twelfth Night and Made in Dagenham. We can’t wait to see the show!
