It’s always brilliant to see OEs pop up on prime-time BBC, and on Sunday night Joe Quinn was a guest star in the hotly anticipated series four of ‘Strike: Lethal White’, based on the novel by Robert Galbraith (AKA JK Rowling).
This drama is top heavy with the best of British character actors, supporting the leads Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger. Joe plays Billy Knight who turns up at Strike’s office, psychotic, rambling and disorientated about a murder, which kicks off a very entertaining conspiracy that takes in the Houses of Common and a long since forgotten cover-up.
This is a very intense character for Joe to get his teeth into, which is refreshingly different from his mild mannered roles in period dramas such as Dickensian (2015), Catherine the Great (2019), Les Miserables (2019), Howard’s End (2017) and others on the stage.
Catch up with episodes 1 and 2 on BBC iPlayer.
