The lower sixth Primary Ambitions teachers have reveled in unlocking the scientific curiosity of the Year 6 scientists over the past term.

Each week, the primary pupils have been learning how science is involved in our survival, tackling their experiments with gusto. During the Biology and Chemistry sessions they have been discovering how to survive on a desert island with no water, testing foods for the nutrients they contain in colourful test tubes, creating stunning lava lamps and even dissecting a heart! They have also indulged their creative and competitive sides in their Physics sessions by designing and building their own boats and investigating how many pennies could be placed on each before sinking.

The primary pupils have thoroughly enjoyed the guidance and caring encouragement from the sixth form students, who are becoming more confident and proficient with each passing session – a great start to the module.
