Many congratulations to Hugo (Upper Sixth) who was the Year 10–13 winner in the recent House Music Rock and Pop Competition and was presented with the Strover Trophy for ‘House Musician of the Year’.
Hugo, a member of Rodney House, played the drums in ‘Grebfruit’ by the German drummer and singer Benny Greb. The Year 6 – 8 prize was awarded to Eva Guilfoyle (Drake House) who sang the pop song ‘Titanium’ written by French DJ and music producer David Guetta. The overall winner of this year’s House Music Competition (including the Classical competition earlier in the year) was Wellington House. Nic, Louise, Raffi and Bridget (Year 9), who formed a band as part of the most recent competition, collected the Abbott trophy.
Many congratulations to all pupils who have taken part in the two House Music events this year.
