Miss Ball has been coaching for several years at a mixture of co-ed and girls’ schools along the Thames. She learnt to row at Walton Rowing Club as a J13, and she continued rowing all the way through to university. Alongside studying Marine Biology at Southampton University, she was elected Secretary and President of the boat club during her time there. Miss Ball is now England Team Manager for the Beach Sprints, Home International Regatta. In early September, Miss Ball’s England team came away with a gold and a silver medal from the championships in Wales.
“I am excited to be joining the rowing program at Emanuel this year and I’m looking forward to working with the junior members of the club. The seniors had great success last year with athletes representing the school and England at national regattas, and it’s their engagement with rowing in the junior years that gets students to that level. I hope we can increase participation in rowing even more this year and keep building on the great successes of Emanuel rowing since 2015.”
“I am delighted to have Miss Ball working alongside me at ESBC. Her expertise in rowing and Strength and Conditioning will continue to build on our successful rowing program at Emanuel. She is another great role model particularly for our girls in sport and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together “ Tim Liversage
