On Monday 1st July our Year 6 pupils performed a series of puppet plays.

Over the course of this year, the pupils spent their art lessons designing and making Paul Klee inspired puppets (combining clay heads and fabric hand puppet bodies) and backdrops for a puppet show performance. In small groups they devised and wrote a series of short plays inspired by Aesop’s fables. The plays had to involve at least three characters and include the felt monster they had made during Design & Technology lessons.

All of the pupils thoroughly enjoyed the performances, as did the art staff, making for a joyful last lesson of the year! Very well done to all of Year 6.
