Mr Morrison’s Year 9 Latin classes have created various cakes, newspaper articles and paintings based on the fateful conclusion of the Cambridge Latin Course, Book 2. The wealthy Egyptian Barbillus goes hunting for crocodiles on the river Nile, despite warnings of bad omens from his astrologer. An angry hippo overturns the crew’s boat, and two slaves are eaten alive, with Barbillus sustaining a spear-wound to the shoulder.
Attached is a painting from Madeleine M, a design from Johnny L, a newspaper front page by Sacha A-L and cakes baked by Otis J and Georgie C. Very well done to all students for their wonderful creativity and engagement with the story.
