Racing for the Boat Club got underway last Saturday with over 350 boats racing the 5km course from Mortlake to Hammersmith. The Year 11 boys came had an impressive 4th & 5th place in MJ16 2x after battling it out with some strong Westminster School boats. The J18 2- finished in the top half of the ranking with fierce competition from St Paul’s, Dulwich College and Radley College making up most of the 30-boat category. The girls and boys all had a tough race in the J18 2x’s against some of the country’s top sculling programs, but they came away with some good results and a confidence boost leading them into half term. Well done to all rowers this half term for the miles put in on the water and in the gym! The Boat club will be next racing on home water on Sunday 24th November. A fantastic opportunity to see Emanuel race alongside Olympic rowers!
