We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Stuart Turner as a new Deputy Head at Emanuel School.
Starting in the summer term, he will oversee the co-curricular life of the school, operational matters, including the calendar and public events, as well as be responsible for outreach and admissions. He will work closely with a number of teaching and support colleagues already in post in these areas.
Since 2015, Stuart has been the head of lower school at Alleyn’s, with special responsibility for their popular admissions programme. Prior to joining their senior team, he was head of geography at Putney High School, after five years at Merchant Taylors School in Northwood, where he also coached rugby, cricket and hockey, and led on various trips. In addition, Stuart is a Governor at Earlsfield Primary School and a member of the Steering Group for the School’s Inclusion Alliance. Throughout his teaching career Stuart has demonstrated a natural pastoral warmth, the ability to improve academic outcomes and the capability to enhance pupils’ co-curricular life.
He is married with three children and lives in Wimbledon.
