Once again, Emanuel School pulled out all of the stops for our community. This week, books were collected, sorted, boxed and delivered to our partner, the Children’s Book Project, for distribution to our partner primary schools. A staggering 4500 books (and still counting) will be rehomed and loved by a new set of keen readers with few books to call their own.

In addition, we collected stacks of books that are much needed for the inmates at Wandsworth Prison. Our current tally is 650 books but, again, the number is rising. The prison is thrilled with our support.

None of this can happen without your help. A huge thank you to everyone who donated books this week – your generosity continues to be astounding. And, an enormous thank you to our extremely hard-working parent volunteers who calming unpacked and organised with utmost efficiency. A few of the volunteers are captured in the photo – there were more and each and everyone was greatly appreciated.
