We were delighted to welcome back the Class of 1999 OEs for a 20-year anniversary tour on Saturday.
Despite the incessant rain, the OEs really enjoyed visiting their old haunts as well as seeing the more recent additions to the school. Many OEs had not been back to Emanuel in 20 years and were very impressed by the changes.
The OEs were fascinated by the school archive display and surprised to find how many illustrious OEs we have including Sir Tim Berners Lee, inventor of the world wide web, Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr, Oscar and BAFTA-winning sound engineer, Ben Willkins, and co-creator of worldwide hit children’s animation Peppa Pig, Mark Baker.
Amongst the OE gathering was dentist and social media sensation, The Singing Dentist (Dr Milad Shadrooh OE1992-99) who promotes oral health through his parodies of popular songs. Milad has made numerous TV and radio appearances to perform his songs.
