Rowers from Year 10 and above went on their annual Easter holiday training camp to Sabaudia in southern Italy.

In addition to their training, pupils had the opportunity to race at a local regatta, from which Emanuel came away with 3 medals, getting their preparations for National Schools’ Regatta well and truly underway. A huge thank you to Mr. Beeley and Mr. Fieth for driving the boats to Italy, Mr Woodhall and the whole coaching team for their efforts in making the camp possible.

Last weekend saw the boat club race at three different regattas:

  • The Year 11 boys represented “Thames London” at the Junior Inter-Regional Regatta in Nottingham, coming away with an impressive bronze medal.
  • The Year 10 girls and boys raced for the first time this year at Hammersmith Regatta. Both boats came away from the event with a win in their respective events.
  • Chester (Y12) and Thomas (Y13) raced in the U19 GB Trials Regatta in Nottingham on Sunday. The boys raced incredibly well, and held their ranking from their earlier performance in February.

If your son or daughter is in Year 8 and would like to try rowing, an email will be sent out shortly with details about the summer rowing course held at the boathouse in Barnes.
