Building on the outstanding results from last year, Emanuel Maths students in Years 11, 12 and 13 achieved record successes in the prestigious Senior Maths Challenge, with an increase of nearly 50% in the number of gold certificates.
Gold and silver certificates are only awarded to the top 20% of the country and these results are testament to the hard work from the whole Maths department and the students. A special mention must go to Joe Barton, Siddiq Islam and Billy Hughes who have qualified for the Olympiad paper, putting them firmly in the top 1,000 students across the country, and Harry Still and Oscar Chin in Year 11 who have qualified for the Kangaroo. This is an astonishing achievement especially for the Year 11 students. Particular thanks to Miss Sidhu for organising this and preparing our students so well for this challenge.
