The tenth Trinity School Book Award recently ended and over the last term many pupils in the Lower School had great fun attempting our ‘Eight Book Challenge’. We were delighted to receive a healthy number of reviews of the books involved uploaded to the online library catalogue system and others being entered in the wider school competition.
This year the interconnecting theme was the TSBA was ‘The Elements’ with our four best entries moving forward into the thirty multi-school competition. This year our review entries were slightly better than our Creative Responses, so three reviews and one Creative Response move onto the next level. We were also delighted to award other prizes to pupils who entered commendable work in either category, or both.
Four overall winners who progress to the multi-school TSBA competitions:
Orla (8MSH) for her review of The Girl from the Sea
Violet (8RDC) for her review of Fish Boy
Mishka (8DOM) For her review of Fish Boy
Charlotte (7ERH) for her Fish Boy model
Highly commended for both reviews and Creative Responses:
Cecilia (7SNC) For her origami book connected to Rebel Skies and reviews of Ghostlight and Rebel Skies
Amelia (7CB) For her origami model connected to Rebel Skies and review of Arctic Star
Ella (7CLF) For her boat model based on Arctic Star and review of Girl from the Sea
