An invigorating ‘A Level Options Peer Information Afternoon’ took place on Tuesday this week.

All of Year 11 had an opportunity to quiz current members of the Upper Sixth about their experiences of different A level subjects. Without teachers present this was a good opportunity to find out what subjects are really like from the perspective of students who have been taught them for the last 16 months, and are now applying for their courses in Higher Education. Full, frank and earnest discussions took place.

Particular thanks to the Upper Sixth students who generously gave their time to this – they are evidently experts in their field. A number said how much they had enjoyed the experience, and I suggested that they should seriously consider teaching as a future career option…
