This week across three different days, 128 Year 9 pupils participated in the newly introduced Year 9 social event to Gravity Wandsworth across three different days of the week. When pupils start Year 9 they have new teaching sets and tutor groups, the aim of this event was for pupils to get the opportunity to mix with their peers outside of the classroom environment helping their develop their new friendships further.

They had the opportunity to take part in mini golf, playing on a course of nine holes with tricky obstacles to manoeuvre around before finding the hole. There was impressive performances by Martha (9DGA) who scored two holes in one, Phoebe (9SJM) who was determined to beat this and the pairing of Rory (SJM) and Farhan (SJM) showed exemplar golf etiquette throughout the course.

Alongside the golf they also participated in bowling, Mr Ashton (9DGA tutor) lead from the front with superb technique with strike after strike! Many thanks to all the members of staff that accompanied the pupils on the trip.
